Dancing on the iceThe return date is getting closer, with ITV recently announcing the full lineup for the 2023 series.
Alongside permanent judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse, the show often has a number of guest judges.
Last year, the former Come dance strictly judge Arlene Phillips joining the panel as a special guest for Musicals Week.
Speaking exclusively to digital spy Asked if she would consider a permanent return, Arlene said: “Oh, loved it, absolutely loved it.
“I don’t think they even have time for a fifth judge, people want to hear the judges, but they really want to see people dancing on the ice. But my experience doing this show was so much fun.
“I love judging, I love it so much,” Arlene continued.
“I think they have a great team there so it’s so unlikely to happen, they have such a fabulous team. They wouldn’t even consider asking.”
the old I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here the contestant also shared that she would like to see the return of So you think you can dance.
The UK edition of the show did not enjoy the same success as the US version, which is still running after 17 seasons.
It ran for two series from 2010, but was canceled when the BBC bought the rights to broadcast the UK version of The voice.
“I would love that, but I guess I’ll have to talk to Nigel Lythgoe who brought it here,” Arlene said.
“It’s a great show, it’s so good and you see dancers of all different genres having to study things they’ve never done before in dance.
“I think it’s really exciting. I would love a revival and I would come back, I loved judging on that.”
