The BBL have fixtures scheduled for Christmas Eve and Boxing Day this season, and the Melbourne Renegades batsman believes a fixture on Christmas Day will take place in the future.
“Well, since it’s not this year and I don’t have much time left in my career, I’m not sure I’m here for that,” Finch told SEN Radio.
“But I think it will eventually happen. I don’t know where I sit on it, to be honest.
‘It’s such a special time for families to be together and I think playing on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day there’s obviously a test match followed by a Big Bash match that night, there there’s still plenty of content in and around there.
“So I think the way it’s set up at the moment is good.”

Finch is very pleased with how his team started the season.
“Going 2-0 is a very good start I think, it’s the first time in a few years that we’ve done it,” he said.
“Winning those tight matches is so important, especially at the start of the year, because you don’t want to leave too much behind when you get into situations where you have to win five out of six (to play the finals) .
“It’s not guaranteed, but it’s a nice feeling around the group.”
