“It was nice to get the chance to host because the magicians that are in the show, I grew up watching some of them and a lot of them inspired me to get into magic “, said Mulhern. “Kevin James is a great example of that. He’s just an amazing Las Vegas magician.”
When he got the job, Mulhern received a text from Dec that read, “There’s no one better to take the reins from us. You’ll be brilliant. Don’t be too brilliant. Thank you so much for stepping in!”

Dixon added that Mulhern was very excited to be involved with this particular show, saying, “You can also see after every act, this appreciation, this enthusiasm and this passion that he has for magic.
“He was actually involved in a lot of acts. They would often bring him on stage. But even after an act was over and he got on stage, you could see his spirit was blown as well. And that is someone who is of this world. So I think that was a big compliment to the acts.”
