I love watching @BellinghamJude to play. Pushes the problem in the middle, always threatening runs, and can physically get himself and the team out of tight spots. #ThreeLions

England continued to prevail in the first half, with strikers Saka and Raheem Sterling standing out with clinical finishes:

It was a dream scenario for a team with a lot of pressure entering the tournament, but the fans were celebrating early in this game.

Saka added a second goal in the second half in a performance that didn’t go unnoticed:

With Marcus Rashford also scoring from the bench, it was redemption for the two players who notably missed the penalty shootout at Euro 2020.

It was a very different mood for England this time around, some were talking about winning the World Cup title.

There is still a long way to go in this tournament for the Three Lions to lift the trophy, but it was certainly a good start for the team.
