After the contestants arrived at the Traitor’s Castle in the Scottish Highlands on a steam train, Claudia instructed them to line up in the order of those they thought were least and most likely to win the competition.

Placing last, Amos and Kieran were sent home before stepping inside the castle to the shock of the other competitors.

“Honestly, Claudia is a savage. I know she’s an icon and all, but she doesn’t act,” Theo said of his castmates’ short time on the show.

After the remaining 20 contestants enter the castle, they learn that three contestants will be chosen as traitors who must conceal their identities from other players known as the Faithful.

Every night a traitor murders one of the worshipers as they try to find out who the traitors are for a chance to win £120,000.

In another shocking twist, presenter Alex and magician Tom hid their romance from other players in a move that saw Alex flirt with Matt to form an alliance.

Later, during a roundtable, the players were blindfolded as Claudia chose the three traitors: Alyssa, Wilfred and Amanda – the glamorous grandmother of Wales.

After that, players pocketed £15,000 in prize money in the first challenge where they competed in teams to light up two Wicker Beasts.

Ending on a cliffhanger, the traitors revealed themselves and decided which player to kill, signing a death warrant and handing it over to Claudia.

Traitors continues tomorrow night (30 November) at 9.15pm on BBC One.
