Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0’s new DMZ mining mode features tons of activities and rewards to earn in a PvPvE environment. Here, we walk you through collecting all of the unique rewards from the mode’s Weapon Case event, including an Operator Skin and a Weapon Blueprint.
Weapon Case Events Explained
DMZ Weapon Case events only happen once per match, and it can quickly turn into a deadly fight for all, as only one person can claim the reward each match.
The event is marked on the map as a yellow highlighted circle with a folder icon labeled with a question mark. Here, you’ll need to battle the AI and take out a Juggernaut, who will drop a weapon case for you to pick up. This case must then be successfully mined for you to earn the rewards.
The Weapon Case event in DMZ can activate in one of three locations in each match:
- Al Sharim Pass
- Zarqwa Hydroelectric
Weapon Crate Event Rewards
There are seven rewards to score for the Weapon Case event, and they can only be earned one at a time, with one being earned for each event completed. You will need to complete this event seven times to earn all the rewards. Rewards include Weapon Blueprint, Weapon Sticker, Charm, Vehicle Skin, Calling Card, Emblem, and Operator Skin. They are won in the order below:
- Warning tape: RPK weapon blueprint
- Biohazard: weapon sticker
- Jungle Incognito: vehicle skin
- Gas Gas Gas: weapon charm
- Weapon Crate: calling card
- Weapon Crate: emblem
- Biohazard: Konig Operator Skin
Tips for a successful event
Don’t risk your best weapons here, because you don’t want to lose your favorite DMZ weapon in a tough challenge. Just make sure you have a weapon with a decent rate of fire, equip the sniper range tactical gear, semtex or thermite as your lethal, and carry the ammo box upgrade. These items will allow you to quickly heal yourself in the midst of combat and keep powerful deadly ammo and weapons at your disposal.
Check your map when a match spawns to see if you have an armored vehicle close enough to your location. It is indicated on your map by an armored car icon. An armored vehicle speeds up the process because you can just run over the juggernaut without having a tedious fight. This is the best strategy to use if you’re trying to attempt this solo.
To note: You can buy an LTV armored vehicle with a turret from a buy station, but it will probably take too long to scrounge up that much money.
Head to an exfil location immediately after grabbing the case, as you will be marked on the map for all other players, depicting you as a target. On the other hand, it’s an additional way to mark weapon holsters if you’re having trouble getting them yourself. Taking out the transporter will allow you to grab and exfiltrate the reward.
