The holiday season is right around the corner, which means all over the world, eager eyes are on the hunt for great gifts. (opens in a new tab). As for PC gamers, if you’re not specifically interested in tech, we can be a tough market to buy into. We have an amazing collection of Black Friday deals (opens in a new tab) it can help save you heaps of tech freebies like a new PC, laptop, or headset, but maybe the gamer in your life has it all covered already.
Well, it’s time to help cover their loot and Devolver Digital’s new range of clothing is a great choice. This selection of sportswear for people who may or may not play sports is the Devolver Athletic Club (opens in a new tab) clothing collection and it’s a great ironic nod to one of our favorite and most chaotic editors.
The range includes several t-shirt choices, a track top, a pair of sports socks and some very tempting red shorts. They feature custom Devolver-themed graphics by Argentinian artist Alan Berry Rhys (opens in a new tab). This includes a new mascot, the DAC Rooster who wears a varsity jacket while holding a gnarly studded bat in a clear nod to one of the publishers’ iconic series, Hotline Miami.
The whole clothing list does a pretty good job of evoking those vintage sports club vibes. The rooster itself is very reminiscent of old-fashioned cartoon mascots, which is further enhanced by the tricolor print on the faded shirts. The bottom of the listing for one of these shirts also says “The Rooster likes to hurt people – with sport”. just in case we forgot it was Devolver.

Other models offered feature the Devolver Athletic Club name in a distinctive North American logo. All the apparel in the series gives a clear nod to indie gaming if you know what to look for, while letting your nervousness fly under the radar when necessary.
Devolver is also working with sustainable clothing brand Two Lives for the DAC collection. Two Lives focuses on using recycled fabrics to reduce waste, using natural fibers in renewable energy mills. So not only are they niche gifts for your friends, but also hopefully for the environment.

In keeping with Devolver’s usual humour, this also came with a statement from their beloved if somewhat not the real CFO, Fork Parker. “It seems like a slightly less pointless thing to ask Santa for than a gym membership,” Parker said. “These shorts are pretty hot.” And let’s face it, he may be fantasy, but he’s not wrong about these shorts.
You can get Devolver Athletic Club apparel from the official Devolver Merch store (opens in a new tab). If loot socks, shirts, and shorts aren’t your thing, there’s also a bunch of other stuff to suit players of all persuasions. This includes other apparel, but also toys, special edition games, pins, and even soundtracks for all the top Devolver titles like Cult of The Lamb. (opens in a new tab)and the Gate of Death.
