Gogglebox couple Mica and Marcus left the show after 5 years

Glasses box lost beloved couple Mica Ven and Marcus Luther.

The couple have announced that they have decided to quit the Channel 4 show after five years.

“We had so much fun with all of you listening at home and the hard workers Glasses box crews, but it’s time to put down the remote and see what else God has in store for us,” they said in a joint statement on Instagram.

“To everyone who has listened to us and sent us messages of love and encouragement over the years, we appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you so much.”

They continued, “To the amazing actors, you will forever be our G’box 4life brothers and sisters.

“And finally, to all of our Yardie friends and family who always cheer us on whoever will listen, when you talk about us leaving, the program is called GLASSES BOX not GOOOOOOGLEbox, it’s not a barrage search engine.”

The pair have been inundated with messages from fans saying how much they will miss them.

Mica and Marcus have been together for many years, first meeting at church. However, Marcus explained that his partner wasn’t interested right away and tried to hook him up with other women before they decided to become a couple.

They’ve previously appeared on the show with Mica’s two daughters from a previous relationship, Sachelle and Shuggy, though they’ve been appearing as a couple for a while.

Marcus also has a son Shiloh from a previous relationship, and the couple share son Yash.

Despite the departure, fans recently learned that the Glasses box family is growing with two new additions.

Ellie Warner announced last week that she was expecting a baby with boyfriend Nat Eddleston.

And in the same episode, Pete Sandiford announced he had a second baby on the way with wife Paige.

Glasses box
