Hawk Eye director Bert (from Bert and Bertie, real name Amber Templemore-Finlayson) and Nope Star Keke Palmer has teamed up for a brand new movie on Amazon.
According DeadlineAmazon Studios has purchased the rights to Moxie. The film is being directed by Bert, while Heather Quinn is writing the screenplay. Quinn, like Bert, also has Marvel roots as she wrote on Hawk Eye as well as the Marvel Halloween special night werewolf.
In addition to starring in the film, Palmer will co-produce the film alongside Peter Lawson (John Wick and Snowden) and Kate Churchill (Projector and All the old knives). Sharon Palmer is executive producer.

The film is described as an action-comedy “about a crass stripper who pisses off the FBI in a big way when she somehow becomes the top candidate for their whimsical new agent program.”
This isn’t the first time Palmer has acted like a “crass stripper,” as if you may recall, she won the Spotlight Initiative Award from TIFF’s Creative Coalition for her role in The scammers.
Palmer is one of the biggest stars of 2022, with her name attached to a bunch of big name releases this year. She voiced the character of Izzy Hawthorne in Pixar’s Light yearwho also played Captain America and Knives out actor Chris Evans as the main character.

She also starred in the critically acclaimed film Nope, which was led by get out Jordan Peele and played The Walking Deadis Steven Yeun and Black Pantheris Daniel Kaluuya at his side.
Speaking of the very ambiguous final plan of NopePalmer said she was just as distraught as the rest of us.
“I don’t know and we’ll never know unless there’s another movie. That’s the only way to find out,” she said.
Moxie currently does not have a release date.
Light year is streaming on Disney+, complete with toy story series and short films.
