World Cup absentees Manchester United have escaped England’s Christmas chill for Spain’s heat as Erik ten Hag’s Reds are put through their paces before the Premier League resumes.
The United stars continued their training at their Cadiz base ahead of an upcoming friendly clash with the La Liga hosts.
Ten Hag was pictured leading training drills as a mix of traveling first-team players and academy hopefuls returned from their mid-season breaks due to the World Cup in course in Qatar.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Jadon Sancho is continuing his individual training program as part of a process to return to his highest level. The club fully supports him in this area.
Man United will face Burnley once the World Cup ends on December 18, with many of the club’s international stars still involved in their respective countries as the competition enters the quarter-finals.
Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire remain on international duty with England, while Raphael Varane, Tyrell Malacia, Fred, Antony, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro also remain with their country.

Joining experienced players in the heat of the Spanish sun were breakthroughs from academy Alejandro Garnacho, who had played in the Premier League run-in ahead of the World Cup, along with Zidane Iqbal and returning pariah Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
United take on Cadiz on Wednesday before meeting Real Betis in their last friendly on Saturday, December 10.
