Michael Kors unveils ski capsule collection with Ellesse

Michael Kors and Italian sportswear brand Ellesse continue the success of their inaugural collaboration with a new skiwear capsule collection.

Launching globally on November 28, the capsule offers “a vivid take on ski resort style,” says the American fashion label, with pieces featuring a one-of-a-kind badge that fuses the Michael Kors logo with Ellesse’s tennis. inspired by skiing.

Commenting on the second collaboration, Michael Kors said in a statement: “Ellesse is a pioneer in bringing style to the world of skiing, and I have always designed clothing and accessories that combine glamor and ease. I am delighted to the luxurious and glamorous sportswear capsule we collaborated on. It works perfectly whether you’re at the ski lodge or out on the city streets.”

The men’s and women’s capsule takes the orange and red color combinations from the first Michael Kors x Ellesse collaboration and juxtaposes them with classic shades of navy and crisp white.

Highlights include color-blocked sweaters, jackets and puffer jackets paired with striped sweatpants, leggings, mitts and ribbed beanies to take inspiration from classic ski styling. The collection also includes accessories such as the Hudson backpack by Kors, the Slater shoulder bag and the Hudson tote.

The Ellesse and Michael Kors collection combines Ellesse’s Italian flair with the glamor and luxury inherent in the Michael Kors philosophy to create looks that work on the runway and on the street, bringing effortless style and a sharp fit to après-ski.

To launch the capsule collection, the two brands called on models Emily Ratajkowski and David Agbodji to highlight the campaign, shot by photographer Daniel Clavero and styled by Mel Ottenberg, editor-in-chief of Interview magazine.

The the first Michael Kors x Ellesse collaboration was presented in May and featured track jackets and pants, vintage-style swimsuits, chunky sneakers, logo slides, neon hats and bucket bags.
