Netflix’s Treason Season 2 Potential Release Date, Cast & More

Treason Final spoilers follow.

In the world of espionage, nothing is as it seems, and this is also true for Treason, Netflix’s latest excursion into this dark world. Because yes, Charlie Cox’s new show is supposed to be a limited series, but that hasn’t stopped the powers that be from changing their minds and renewing so-called “one-offs” like this in the past.

So, assuming that Treason returns for a second season, how does the finale set that up? Grab your infrared goggles and join us in this dark and shadowy world as digital spy reveals everything you need to know about Treason season two on Netflix.

Potential Betrayal Season 2 Release Date: When will Betrayal Season 2 air?

The treason The return date depends on whether the show will even be renewed in the first place, and that’s mostly up to the fans. If the response is strong enough, especially in the four weeks following the show’s Boxing Day launch, then Netflix might reconsider and order a second series to capitalize on it.

Whether Treason returns for a second season, we suspect an announcement won’t arrive until February 2023, meaning full-blown episodes won’t drop until mid-2024 at the earliest.

Treason season 2 cast: Who will be back for Treason season 2?

Assuming that Treason will be renewed by Netflix, we estimate that at least some of the main cast will return, and this includes the following:

• Olga Kurylenko as Kara
• Oona Chaplin as Maddy Lawrence
• Ciarán Hinds as Sir Martin Angelis
• Tracy Ifeachor as Dede
• Avital Lvova as Irina Belova

Of course, if you’ve already finished the first season, you’ll know that Charlie Cox is definitely not returning to the show, even though he’s the star. And that’s because Adam Lawrence is now dead following the events of the Season 1 finale.

As sad as that is, at least it frees up Charlie to film his return to Daredevil.

Adam isn’t the only one who suffocated him at the end either as Patrick Hamilton (Dorian) also died thanks to a poisoned gift from Kara. This means Adam James can also be counted out for a potential second season.

Treason Season 2 Plot: What will happen in Treason Season 2?

Netflix thriller betrayal

The treason the future is rather murky, as is the world in which these spies and double agents operate. For one thing, a new storyline starring Olga Kurylenko as Kara seems like the best bet moving forward. As someone still active on the pitch, Kara could be caught up in a whole new case anywhere in the world, be it her native Russia or a new setting elsewhere.

That said, we were quite surprised by Maddy’s ability at the end. Given her new vendetta against Dede, her husband’s killer, we’d absolutely be in for a revenge story that puts Oona Chaplin front and center.

And if Treason turns out to be as popular as we suspect, so a prequel season could also work by shedding new light on Adam’s time with Kara in Baku. Or, Netflix could go a whole different route and make this series an anthology that revolves around the theme of betrayal. It wouldn’t be the first time this had happened…

Treason Season 2 Trailer: Do you have any more footage from Treason Season 2?

Unless you have access to secret documents that we don’t, it looks like a Treason teaser or trailer won’t be released anytime soon. First of all, we need this very important renewal announcement, as well as some time to film the series as well. Treason is now available to watch on Netflix.
