She was reportedly alerted to the explicit material by a friend of their child in October after discovering the content while playing on the family iPad.

She had already split from her NRL partner but her device was connected to their shared cloud account, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The ex-wife will try to argue that it was ‘reasonable’ that she would have shared some of the material with the parent of the child who found it on her iPad.

The court heard last week that she was angry at the pornographic material and contacted her ex-husband to complain about the “disgusting” content because the iPad was being used by her children.

The woman, her NRL husband and her new partner cannot be identified due to new laws protecting alleged victims of revenge porn.

She would then have threatened the football player that she would send the videos and images.

The court heard the woman then “intentionally” sent a snippet of the video to someone else on October 17 after allegedly recording videos and images of the player and his new girlfriend making out. ‘love.

Her ex-husband then lodged a complaint with the police, who executed a search warrant at the woman’s home on October 21.

The court heard detectives looking through the devices at her home and found she had allegedly sent a message to a third party with a ‘snippet’ of the content.

Agents allege she also distributed an image of her ex-husband and new partner on October 17.

The woman faces one charge of intentionally distributing an intimate image without consent and another of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.

Prosecutors dropped a single content distribution charge at a hearing in November, but she still faces up to three years in prison and an $11,000 fine on the other two counts.

The woman will allege in court that she only sent some of the explicit material to the parent of the child who discovered the photos and videos in an attempt to explain the situation.
