by As part of the “Mythic Blade” event, Pokemon Go adds Keldeo to the game, although it can only be obtained by purchasing a paid ticket which unlocks the “something extraordinary” Special research tasks.
To get the “Something Extraordinary” (and Keldeo) Special Research Task Set, you will need to purchase the $7.99 ticket in store. Furthermore, you will have to actually open the game and accept the search some time in between December 10 at 10 a.m. and December 11 at 8 p.m. in your local time. If you don’t, you won’t get the search.
Once you start the Special Research, it will be permanently unlocked, so you won’t be in a rush to complete it.
Keldeo will likely be available through some type of free play method at some point, but it’s unclear when. Seeing how free players haven’t had a chance to get Shaymin yet (which was from a paid event in June and August), you’ll have to wait a while to get Keldeo.
