by Come dance strictly Star Katya Jones has opened up about her love life since her split from ex-husband and co-star Neil Jones.
In a new interview with The daily mailKatya opened up about her ex-husband Neil, who she was married to from 2013 until their split in 2019. Since then, Neil has dated other women and is currently dating the island of love starring Chyna Mills.
Katya, however, said she hasn’t had a single date since her split from Neil. She attributes this – in part, at least – to her own “high standards”.

“Men might see me on TV and be scared they think I’m unreachable for some reason which obviously isn’t true. We’re just humans looking for love – but they’re not brave enough, they’re not the one, so I’m going to keep waiting,” Katya said.
“Granted, I don’t have a lot of time to date while I’m competing, but I don’t want anyone unless they add value to my life. I don’t want anyone to fill any gaps I might have in my life, I don’t want to fill in the gaps in theirs either.”
She continued, “Independence in a relationship is really important to me. Maybe it’s not helpful, but it’s pretty simple; we’re all looking for love.”

Both Katya and Neil have been professional dancers for Come dance strictly and, despite their separation, they still maintain a good friendship and a professional working relationship. This year, Katya exited in the seventh week of the show after her partner Tony Adams was forced to pull out due to injury.
Neil was not associated with a celebrity this year, but last year he was associated with actress Nina Wadia. They were the first couple to be eliminated.
Come dance strictly airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: it takes two aired weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are also streaming on BBC iPlayer.
