Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth picked up a victory over Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy on the final episode of The Match on Saturday night outside of Tampa, Florida.
Thomas and Spieth took a 3-and-2 victory in 10 holes under the lights of the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair. Thomas and Spieth combined seven birdies to just one for Woods and McIlroy.
“Tiger and Rory, what happened,” Thomas and Spieth later spoofed on Twitter. ‘How do you lose to both of us? It’s okay, everyone is doing it.

After leveling the first hole, the pair of Jordan Spieth (L) and Justin Thomas (R) claimed victory
The event raised millions of dollars for relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
“The fact that we were able to do something in the spotlight that had never happened before in our sport, to be able to develop it in a different way,” Woods said on the TNT show afterwards.
It was Tiger’s third appearance in The Match, while the other three debuted in the made-for-TV event.

Despite the great partnership, Woods and McIlroy couldn’t put on a good performance
Woods’ first hole of the night saw him hit a big drive, setting him up with a chip and putt for a birdie.
However, there wouldn’t be much else to cheer about for the rest of the round – as Spieth and Thomas went 3UP on the fourth hole.
The seventh hole saw Woods and McIlroy win their only hole of the round, but quickly lost the next three to end the proceedings two holes early.
