Owens has had a few run-ins with civilians this year, including a racist confrontation with a neighbor in Florida that eventually went viral in August.
The other party, a 38-year-old white woman named Caitlin Davis, was later charged with a second-degree misdemeanor for lying to police about the incident and is due back in a county courtroom. Broward on Dec. 6, according to records obtained by DailyMail.com. It’s still unclear exactly what she’s accused of lying about, but she said Owens was driving dangerously.
She was unable to substantiate her claims, according to the reporting officer’s statement, obtained by DailyMail.com.
“He got out of his car and started harassing me,” Davis told officers as Owens recorded the scene on his phone, while derisively referring to it as “Karen.”
“But you didn’t have to get out of your fucking car,” she then shouted at Owens.
Owens replied, “You didn’t have to talk to me that way either.”
That’s when Davis brought race into the discussion, shouting, “You’re a black man approaching a white woman.”
Amid the escalating situation, Davis then began to cry.
“He literally came after me,” the woman sobbed.
Owens continued to record while cooperating with officers by providing his identity.
“Go ahead, sir,” Owens told the officer, handing him his ID.
“I saw it, but I was never a part of it,” Owens said, referring to the situation.
Owens continued to refer to Davis as “Karen,” which has become a derogatory term for an authorized white woman exercising white privilege, usually as seen in a viral video.
Owens, who played with the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys and Bengals, captioned his video: “KAREN IS REAL!!!!”
‘Wow!! JUST ONE NORMAL NIGHT OF BEING A BLACK MAN IN AMERICA,” he added. “I mean I can’t believe it, but you all know what it is. #karenonbikes #tears #false accusations #hernameiskate’

Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens got into a racist confrontation with a neighbor and the police, which he recorded and shared on social media.
He then referenced Emmett Till, a 14-year-old African American who was lynched for allegedly offending a white woman in Mississippi in 1955.
“THIS IS FOR THOSE LIKE EMMITT UNTIL WHO WERE BURTALLY MURDERED AND DIDN’T HAVE A CHANCE TO LIVE TO SPEAK THEIR TRUTH ON FALSE ACCUSATIONS,” Owens wrote on Aug. 4.
‘Regarding the incident that took place last night…here she is, a real life and our neighbor Karen: her name is Caitlyn Davis.’
More recently, Owens appeared on Chris Cuomo’s new show to discuss the incident.
“If the tables were turned, they would go to the end of the law to charge me,” Owens said. “It’s not about me.”
“I just think of others who might have been in that situation and if they didn’t have the status or the means to do what I did, it might have been very different.
“I want to be able to use this platform to shed some light on what’s going on,” he added. “It doesn’t matter what kind of neighborhood you’re in, that’s the reality of life for a black individual or a black American.”

An officer could be seen in the background, and Owens was cooperative, calling him “sir”
